Vase-Vase-Vaselines!!!

Saturday was my birthday
It was fun and I got to hang around with lots of old buddies and new buddies (radio friends and regular friends)

We all went and saw the Vaselines and, to a lesser extent, the DumDum Girls

DumDum Girls opened with a boring-ish (but kind of good because I was a little drunk already) cover of Play With Fire by you know who off of the you know what soundtrack!

They were pretty in a normal alternative way  - quiet and covered in make-up
All in all they were too much like Vivian Girls - only Vivian Girls seem like they have some personality....

We stopped caring about them and went out and had smokes.

When the Vaselines started we went back inside, and found a spot close-ish to the front - but unfortunetly right by the bathroom so people kept passing by and being lame.

They played a whole bunch of classics and some new songs, they did not play Teenage Superstars though

The girl beside/in front of me and Tawnia kept farting smelly, quiet farts.  One of the guys standing by us pinched his nose closed and nudged the girl he was with and I saw his lips say "Let's go"

obviously they came back out for an encore after trying to be so tricky and pretending they were done

When they were done for real they got off stage like right beside where we were standing and I tugged Francis' sleeve and asked if she wanted to do an interview with CIVL Radio, and she declined...

I was HELLLA disapointed
but, I went to the merch table to buy a t-shirt anyways.  people kept budging in front of me!
Francis actually came to the merch table so I decided I should buy a record and have her sign it, because I didn't want to ruin the tee I was buying already.

She signed the record "Happy Birthday" and my name and her name obviously and I asked her "So, are you sure you don't want to do an interview"
and she agreed to do one!!!

So we all went outside to smoke and make up questions, and then i wandered around for a bit more until she was ready and then helped her carry the bins of merch backstage
We were in this tiny loud room where the whole band was and it was super sweaty and gross!

But it got done and will air not this monday but next monday (Nov. 8)
you can hear the questions then and they will be posted here shortly after that.

Afterwards we all went to the Biltmore Pub and got wasted-er
and everything was cool, but I really wanted to stay the night at the hotel
so I wound up crying - esp. after the free birthday shot of fireball uggghh
This is Jason's fault for feeding me liquor and not being around to take the shot that I didn't even want!

Until the leaving part we all had a stellar time I think!

The Vaselines are swell and if they're coming to your town go see them!

YES!turdEh? UND todaaaii

GUESS WHAT!?!!?!?

Tawnia got me my first, and kind of second, birthday presseeennt!!

We were at CD Plus in Chile and its hella better than anywhere in the AB-MIS-CHI area, so we found some tight deals there!!

They even had a Vivian Girls cd there!  But that is not what Tawnia got me!
We found a cd copy of Sonic Youth Confusion is Sex/Kill Yr. Idols
and if you paid any attention to me AT ALL you'd know that's my favourite album ever(by them)

We did a bunch o other things in Chillsie too, like Tawnia had to go get steal toews at that Mark Works place and eat at the mall, which was kind of gross but still pretty good

Then back in ye olden Abbotsford we went to a 1$ store and found nothing, though I found a bunch of stuff I would need if I was Rockabilly
Then to VV which we totally shoulda done in Chilliwack since its better for some reason
AND I saw my old step dad and we did the Avoid Eye Contact At All Costs Mambo
AND I GOT AN MTV SHIRT which I've wanted forever but they try to charge you a fortune on eBay and at Old Navy they put lame flowers on them.

I love MTV Canada more than most people love their parents.
In fact, if it weren't for MTVNEWS I wouldn't be into swell bands like Jay Reatard and No Age!

NOW
I'm waiting for my sweetheartGrandma to pick me up and we're going to see the BodyWorks display thing at ScienceWorld!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'M SUPER STOKED!

THEN
Afterwards I think we are going to go to Tony Parsons' restaurant the Poor Italian
because we're in love with him

Arts++Crafts(not the lame kind)

I went outties with mine Grandma yesterdayyyy and we had delicious salad lunches from that place in SevenOaks along with bubble teeeaa!!

G had papaya, and I had chocolate!  I'm not allowed to post the two pics I took of Grandma becausee she didn't like them <3 BUUUUTT, this was the lid on my bubble tea and I was superstoked on it!

Then we went and got my supplies for painting ii, which was 254!!!!!  guuhhh!
then we went to winnerz and I got a new wallet that isn't leopard print, but is way better

It's dark purple and has blue flowers outlined allll over it and those circles are the gross insides/middles of flowers that get all over your hands and feel gross (when they're real)

So that was dope, I love new stuff!
But more than stuff, I love Grandma, and it was superfun hanging out with her!
Because we haven't really done that lately!

Then I went and got thee ole' Jase Case,
and theeeen I had to go get/drop off Tawnia at Twassen, she wanted to go to HORSESHOEBAY
but I was like "no deal"

Then me and Jason didn't do anything allllll night because he had to work in the morn.
Then this morning he was super grumps and mean!!!!!!!
and I haven't heard from him allthelivelongday

But, tonight I get to babysit my babybrother!
He is 9, and he is no baby
He wants me to bring over the xbox, but then we don't hang out,
he plays games
and doesn't share!!!

heartzz

I forgot to tell you!

As of today Jason and myself have been together for 3 years!!!!
Isn't that super dope!?  We're super stoked on each other still, which is even more amazing and nice!

I always assumed that once you were together for a hella long time you hated each other, or does that not happen until we are married?

So today was pretty dope, we had a humungous breakfast for lunch and Stephen Harper paid me that money he owed me (almost 1000 bones!) and we went and got my BlackBerry at stupid SevenOaks!

ANNNNNND we went to Wal Mart and got a video game (UFC 2010) and the movie, Dead Snow.  But I didn't read the labels and Dead Snow isn't in English, so I don't wanna own it, I'll just borrow it from Tawnia and return my copy.

I went and got provisions at Safeway - because they have the muffins Jason likeys!  and I came home and we ate delicious wedge fries, I had a samosa and Jason had a crap-load of sausage rolls.  Then we took turns defeating each other in UFC, I was Frank Mir, Jason was a number of characters incl. Kimbo, and that really ugly-faced, scar-back guy!

Then we laid in bed together and played cell phone games!!!

We're gonna go out-out tomorrow hopefully, but Jason has to work early tomorrow so we couldn't really do anything for reals!

if this is the ultimate truth/it had to come out sooner or later

So, for the longest time now (under a month) my life has been total shit - while driving.  My beautiful cassette adapter that I connect my stereo and iPod together with has broken.

My nice friend bought me a new one, but it got stuck in where the e-brake is and I tried to slam it down anyways and the stick that goes into my iPod got all mangled and sad.

Now all I have up in my car is:  one of the cassettes of the American Graffiti soundtrack, Led Zeppelin IV, an unfinished Megadeth tape my boyfriend made, an unfinished tape I made a long time ago of music I don't like anymore (like the Transplants) and 2 Dead Milkmen tapes (Soul Rotation and Bucky Fellini).

Needless to say, the only tape(s) I can listen to on a daily basis are the Dead Milkmen ones.  Which is kind of great, because I really forgot how amazing they are (especially Soul Rotation)!

The Dead Milkmen are the greatest, most-original punk band of all time!  So put down Anarchy in the U.K. and go get yourself Big Lizard in My Backyard
